1. "The Vigilantes of Montana, or Popular Justice in the Rocky Mountains," Thomas J. Dimsdale, 1860s original, fourth edition, undated. 290 pp., 6" x 9". Dimsdale was an emigrant from England who found his calling in the Territory of Montana. When he failed in the mines, he turned to teaching and writing. In 1865 he wrote "Vigilantes of Montana" for publication in the Montana Post. He died the following year. Cover only slightly worn, interior foxing. Fine..
2. "Following Old Trails," Arthur L. Stone, 1913, first edition. With illustrations. 304 pp. 6" x 9.5". A compilation of stories of information of men and events in early Montana that originally ran in the Sunday edition of The Missoulian, Montana. "They must be preserved soon or they will be lost forever. For the Montana pioneer, to whom this work is dedicated, is rapidly following that old trail over the Great Divide - the trail which leads but one way." - A.L.S., Missoula, Dec. 1, 1913.
