Four ledgers from Montana mining companies.
A) Home Mining Company ledger from 1902-03. This ledger has records of labor and supply costs. Under "Labor," miners and their wages are listed for each month. Under "Supply," there are lists of companies and the amount paid to each. 14 x 8.5, approx. 140 pages, majority are blank, good condition.
B) Montana Fire Clay Company stock ledger from 1888-1890. This company, incorporated in 1888, mined and dealt in fire and other clays. This ledger contains records of the company's stock holders. It gives the names, number of shares, and signatures of each stock holder. The company's trustees owned the most shares and they are listed in the ledger as follows: William P. Gwinn- 99,000 shares, James B. Leahy- 88,500 shares, C.G. Bradshaw- 81,750 shares, and George F. Althoff- 29,000 shares. Their office was in Butte. 13.75 x 8.5, good condition.
C) 1886-87 ledger of a company that was doing business with several mining companies and individuals. Some companies listed in this ledger are the Black Pine Mining Company, the Flint Creek Mining Company, and the Montana Fire Clay Company. 13.75 x 9, approx. 340 pages, good condition.
D) Montana Frisco Mining Company stock ledger from 1909. This mining company was based in Spokane, Washington. This ledger gives the name and number of shares of stock holders. The most share were given to the company's officers: Theodore L. Lammers, Lawrence Donlan, and M.W. Neary. Their shares are all listed in this ledger. 8.75 x 14, approx. 150 pages, good condition.
