This sales register shows liquor sales that were being made by the Scobey Drug Co. in Scobey, Montana in 1927-28, during Prohibition. Pharmacies were exempt from Prohibition laws because alcohol was sold as a form of medication. This register shows the kind of liquor, number and kind of containers, the total quantity in wine gallons, and the proof of the liquor that was bought by this company. It also shows the name of the recipient, permit number, kind of liquor, size and kind of container, total quantity, prescription number, and the name of the physician issuing the prescription.
