# 33 for 20 shares to Joseph H Moore. Signed by secretary (?) and president S Heydenfelt. Dateline San Francisco 1863. Incorporated march 26, 1863. 25c Warehouse revenue stamp. Not cancelled. Printed by Britton & Co, San Francisco. Information about this company is very hard to find. Articles from June-July 1863 in the Daily Alta California mention stockholder meetings, an assessment being levied, and that their San Francisco office was located at No. 712 Montgomery Street. According to Bancroft's 1862 Washoe map (and Raymond 1870), the mine was located in the Flowery Mining District (Virginia City). It was actually located just above the Gould & Curry at the intersection of 6 and 7 Mile Canyon. It was part of the Brunswick Lode between the Comstock and Flowery Lodes. Although this is a common certificate from 1866 to 1869, it is a rare territorial certificate. The certificate would have been purchased at the height of the first Comstock boom and this company (near the G&C) would have had a lot of interest. [Red Holabird] Prag Collection
