This is a Montell point in a Pedernales River chert found in Gillespie County, Texas. At 2.625 in./ 67mm. Originally called the Montell Split Stem and later the name was shortened to Montell. The point is perfectly symmetrical with a bifurcated stem resulting in a square base. In a light golden brown colored chert, perfect craftsmanship. #6. Please see photo for details.
