The Daily Alta California of April 25, 1862 describes the Indian district thusly, "The Indian district lies seven miles south of Buena Vista. There are not over twenty miners here, but as the district contains many fine ledges, it will no doubt fill up as the season advances. The Enterprise, Moonlight and Delhi are amongst the ledges that serve to redeem the district from obscurity, and furnish the miners a subject for praise." The Daily Alta California reported that the Moonlight is one of the best leads in Unionville. Additional information on the mine and mining district is included. Also Nevada historical backgrounds on the names on the certificate are included. Unionville, Humboldt Co. Nevada 1864 Fred Holabird Collection
