Fort Quitman was on the border of Texas and Mexico, just south of the tiny mining town of Sierra Blanca in northwest Texas. There are five known denominations , all very rare. In the Bowers shell card book as B-TX-252. Fort operated 1858-1861, was abandoned then reopened 1868 to 1877. Only adobe ruins remain today.
