Mounted photograph showing four people sitting in an early automobile labelled "10". Yosemite Falls is in the background. Photographer printed at bottom right: "Boysen / Yosemite." Photo is 8 x 6" on 12 x 9.5" mount. Mount is chipped and heavily toned. Photo has a few tears. Julius Boysen first partnered with Arthur Pillsbury in 1897, publishing views Pillsbury had taken. In 1898, Boysen opened his own shop, and in 1925, he moved to the New Village, having built the shop known as the Pohono Studio. He primarily published postcards.
