This folding knife was made in Napanoch, New York. Originally made between 1900-1919, later between 1931-1939; the Napanoch Knife Co. motto was "knives as good as a gun". This folder is 3.875 in. closed and 6.25 in. open, straight body scales of walnut held with four pins. The leather wallet has no external markings only stamped "Pnt. Applied For" on the snap flap. The kit is complete with six tools that hook into the back half of the knife and are likely held in place by the closed single blade and spring. The operation of the blade is very stiff and the blade is still used but shows cared usage. The blade ricasso reads "NAPANOCH/ KNIFE CO." on one side and "Pnt. Applied For" on the other. The additional tools have no other markings except "PNT. APPLIED FOR". Napanoch reopened after the Winchester years from 1931-1939. It is not clear which period this one was made under. The walnut scales are complete without nicks or loss. The Napanoch patent appears to have been copied and used under a number of other company names but this is the original. Please see photo for details.
