one page signed document dated Dec. 18, 1885 at Pasadena, Los Angeles Co. to establish a National Bank in that place. The document is signed by D. C. Miles, F. M. Wardy, G. T. Stamm and two others who each pledged $1,000 to $5,000 each to start the bank. They were short here, as %50,000 was required. This document has the appearance of being a prelude to the two National Banks established in Pasadena in 1886: the FNB Pasadena (May 10, 1886, Charter 3499) and the Pasadena National Bank (Oct 11, 1886, Charter 3568). However, if it is a prelude, these men were not among the key men that began either of those two banks, though they may have been minor investors in either. Hellman et all were the primary investors in the Pasadena National Bank, while the FNB Pasadena were successors to the Pasadena Bank. Stamm was on the Board of the Pasadena Lake Vineyard & Water Co.
