Nice stereoview shows the National Hotel with two stagecoaches out front in Yellowstone Park. F. Jay Haynes, Fargo, Dakota Territory, photographer. This view was from Haynes' Yellowstone Park Scenery Series. View #4502. Crease down the middle only visible on the back. Looks very good from the front. The National Hotel in Yellowstone National Park, originally located at Mammoth Hot Springs, was one of the earliest hotels in the park, serving as a key stop for visitors. It was initially built in 1883 in a Queen Anne style and was also known as the Mammoth Hotel. Over time, the hotel evolved, changing its name to Mammoth Hotel in 1904 and later to Mammoth Springs Hotel and Cottages. The hotel's history reflects the broader development of tourism and infrastructure within Yellowstone National Park.
