Fabulous Western pass. No. 221, inscribed "DR Thomas, Secy. to President, Wrightsville & Tennille RR" for the year 1891. Signed by Parker as manager. Wonderful, large vignette of stagecoach moving through the countryside. Reverse indicates that the pass was good on omnibus lines at Leavenworth and Lawrence, Kansas of the U. S. Stage Co. and Texas Stage Co., as well as all lines operated by the National Mail Company. Some glue residue on reverse. The National Mail Company was organized in 1867 by James Parker and was the prime contractor for US Mail delivery west of Atchison.
