Lot of four engraved sepia-tone prints by E.S. Curtis. Edward S. Curtis was an American photographer and ethnologist who focused on the American West and Native American culture in his work. These four prints depict Native American individuals. The titles of the photographs identify the individual and what tribe they are from. These titles are: Big Heart- Osage, The Whip- Ponca, First Walker- Ponca, and Wife of Wakonda- Oto. These engraved prints were made from original photographs that were taken by Curtis in the 1920s. These prints are professionally matted and framed in burl maple frames. Each piece is about 16.25 x 20.5 inches, very good condition.
