Corner advertising cover for Ling & Barth, Collectors of all kinds of Prehistoric Relics. Has the picture of a relic. Datelined Feb 28, 1903. Anything sent out was "Direct from the ruins." Barth was the mover and shaker of St Johns. The location was originally called TsÈzhin Deez& #700;·h" in Navajo, a reference to its rock formations. Starting in 1864, a trader named Solomon Barth (part owner of the trading company) began crossing the area as he moved salt from a salt lake in Zuni territory to Prescott, Arizona. From here he established the first farm and was an important figure in St. Johns history.
