Original, crudely mounted photograph of two Native Americans taken by Emory C. Kolb. Appears to be an original signature of the photographer in the lower right-hand corner. It appears he signed this in the latter part of his life. This photograph came out of a significant Lake Tahoe Collection.
Emory Kolb (1871-1976) and his brother, Ellsworth, were American photographers who set up their studio at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The studio is still there and is now owned by the National Park Service. Today the Kolb Art Gallery is still open on the south rim where some of the best paintings of the Grand Canyon are kept.
This print is matted and framed; overall size is 17.75 x 21.75 inches. Paper backing is damaged, otherwise good condition.
