Spectacular native copper specimen, museum size and grade, from the Rio Tinto Mine. 11" x 22", about seven pounds. The Mountain City Copper Co. produced more than 600,000 tons of copper valued at about $14 million from 1932-1940 (Couch & Carpenter, p45). This specimen is from the Wm. D. Miles Collection of Nevadiana.
