From China. Natural Clear Quartz Crystal Obelisks w/silvery gray and yellow- gold rutile present. Natural growth of six-sided crystals with the smaller of the two large obelisks double terminated. Rainbow quartz is visible in the wand points of the two large obelisks. This naturally formed, large quartz specimen grew in a cluster of 4-5 different points of various sizes. Originally it had 3 very large points, but the third large point broke off.
The other two smaller points grew horizontally near the base. The smaller of the two large points is double terminated with the bottom point seated in the custom made wood base. The specimen is perfectly and securely seated in a custom wood base carved to fit the bottom point of the smaller obelisk and the horizontal crystal growth at base of large obelisk. The rutile near the bottom of the specimen is mostly silvery gray in color, although there is also a yellow-gold (probably copper) mineral inclusion that is more subtle, visible on the reverse lower half of the obelisks.
The Crystals without base weigh approximately 11 lbs and measure about 15.5" from the tallest point of the larger obelisk to the bottom point of the smaller obelisk, about 5.5" x 5.5" at the widest part of the stones. The height of the display specimen with the base is approx. 16.5"
Shi Ying is the Chinese name for clear quartz crystal, and translates "outstanding stone." It is believed to have the capacity to potentiate the energy and properties of other stones.
