Hopi/Tewa, Joy Navasie--Yellow Flower, became known as second Frogwoman (1919-2012). She was the daughter of Paqua Naha (First Frogwomen). Joy was known for her white slipped pottery and classic use of design elements. Her works have a frog image on the base of the pots. This elegant jar's clean design is rendered in brown-red over white slip. 8.5"x 7". Excellent condition.
