The Nellie Bly Gold Mining and Reduction Co. issued 5000 shares of stock to president Robert Seaman in 1896. Mill was located at Magnolis near Boulder. A few weeks after their wedding, Robert Seaman, Elizabeth Seaman (Nellie Bly), and four other directors incorporated the Nellie Bly Gold Mining and Reduction Company, duly recorded in the office of the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder. The company then built the elaborate and expensive Nellie Bly Mill, complete with roasting furnaces, an assay office, and sleeping quarters. It reached the height of its operation in 1899, but it only ran for a few months, processing gold ore from the nearby Keystone and Kekionga mines. The stock has two folds with foxing at the folds, an eagle vignette in the upper left side. Printed by John Polhemus of New York. Beautifully framed at 10 in. X 12 in. Please see photo for details.
