A nice variety of classic Old West and Nevada imagery. Andrew Saar or Edgar Andrew Fisk, Jr. was born in Missouri in 1913 and died in Fallon, Nevada in 1990. His work embodies the American west and his preferred medium is charcoal on paper. Saar's drawings illustrate classic Western history with subjects such as Western Railroads, Cowboys, Mining Towns, Pre-1900 Architecture, Cattle Drives, and more. Andrew Saar's work is fairly well-known in Nevada, where he lived for many years before his death in 1990. This collection includes:

1) Framed and matted numbered print "Early Morning in Bodie, California 1866" Numbered in pencil 008/500 and signed by artist on bottom right corner. Thick wood frame measures: 20" X 25", artwork measures: approx 10.5" x 13" under glass.

2) 8.5" X 11" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "V&T Engine #27 and Cars Headed East Along Washington St. Carson City. Andrew Saar 1979" printed on bottom. No signature.

3) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock "Virginia City Andrew Saar '70" written on bottom. Numbered 081/100 and signed by artist in black ball point pen on bottom right. View is looking north on C Street with Washoe Club and Sharon House shown on left.

4) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Belmont, Nev Courthouse Andrew Saar 1970" printed on bottom. Numbered 081/100 and signed by artist in black ball point pen on bottom right. Worn along right edge.

5) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Old Chinatown Carson City Andrew Saar 1970" printed on bottom. Numbered 081/100 and signed by artist in black ball point pen on bottom right.

6) 11" X 14" Print on grey smooth card stock. "The Classic Inyo No. 22....V&T.R.R. Engine In Front Of The Engine House - Carson City, Nevada Andrew Saar 1980" printed on bottom. Signed by artist in blue ball point pen on bottom right.

7) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Heading em' Out" printed on bottom. Numbered 007/500 and signed by artist in pencil on bottom right.

8) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Heading em' Out" printed on bottom. Numbered 008/500 and signed by artist in pencil on bottom right.

9) 11" X 14" Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Homing Wasatch Mountains, Utah" printed on bottom. Numbered 008/500 and signed by artist in pencil on bottom right.

10) 12" X 17" Railroad Print on off-white heavy vellum stock. "Andrew Saar 1977" printed on bottom and signed by artist in pencil on bottom right. Slight creasing, bent corners and tear on top edge.
