Lot of 14. From the Comstock: an 1870 Mariposa Mill check RN with signature of James G. Fair; an 1862 territorial check from Paxton & Thornburgh Bankers, signed by R.H. Morrow; an 1871 certificate of deposit for the Bank of California in Gold Hill w/ green and brown 5 cent adhesive revenue stamps; and two unused receipts (c.1892) for the Virginia and Gold Hill Water Company. From Carson City: two State Controller's Warrants, yellow (1879) and tan (1874), both with mining and railroad vignettes, one for hauling gravel for upkeep on the grounds of the Capitol Building; two unused State of Nevada paychecks c. 1860s with allegorical vignette; and a c.1900 Wells, Fargo & Co. Express receipt from the Bullion and Exchange Bank. From Pioche: an unused Receipt Pending Issuance of Certificate for the Pioche Last Chance Mining Co. (190-) and an unused letterhead for the same company; and an unused Silgoled Mining Co. of Nevada check (drawn on the Bank of Pioche). Finally, an unused paystub for the Day Silver Mining Co. of Royal City (c.1880s).
