Cert. #564, $500, 6%, Mortgage Bond from this Nevada railroad company. The bond was issued in 1909 and signed by the company officers, L.H. Curtis and W.C. Orem. The Nevada-Douglas Copper Company owned a 1/2 interest in this company. This standard gauge line was to run 41 miles when complete, from the Mason Valley Smelter through Mason and Smith Valleys. Then it was to connect with the Southern Pacific at Wabuska. Expected completion of the line was expected to be in 1911. The company's equipment included 2 locomotives and 45 fifty-ton ore cars. There are no remaining coupons as the company paid dividends through 1940.
