Best is an 1864 US Internal Revenue License for the Estate of John T. Rundle, French Corral, to operate a butcher shop. Rundle's papers are in the Bancroft Library. Died in 1864. Involved in mining and stock raising. Railroad items include three freight receipts (1883-84) and one photograph (5" x 8") for the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad. Also: a Nevada City pamphlet (1928) and a Nevada County booklet (32 pages, 1915); three ex. library Grass Valley newspapers (1900); a double sided map of Nevada County showing mine properties (1933, 8.5" x 11"); an 1878 music book for Mount St. Mary's Academy; an 1883 souvenir cabinet card for the Knights Templar Conclave (by Swart, Photo); and a real photo postcard mailed 1922 showing "Duck Egg" in Grass Valley.
