Lot of 7: 1) Six documents: three billheads (1907-1909), two with "Packing" stamped over "Meat"; 1909 receipt; 1909 postal card; and 1916 Southern Pacific Company Bill of Lading; 2) Cobalt seltzer bottle. The Nevada Packing Company operated 1901-1916. It was started by Patrick Flanigan, who was a major sheep and landowner in Washoe County. The company was mostly a slaughterhouse. When Flanigan left management of the company to pursue politics, and the company went bankrupt. The cobalt blue seltzer known to bottle collectors may have been a Christmas gift for clients.
