"The Nevada Reservoir Ditch Company takes 1,000 inches of water from Wolf creek, and supplies Sucker Flat and Mooney Flat. The main ditch is 28 miles long, and in that distance there are not more than 600 feet of flume, the highest 12 feet. The ditch was commenced in 1857, and finished in 1860, at a cost of $116,000. The company does not sell any water, but uses it all on Sucker Flat, in its own claims. There has been no washing at Mooney Flat for two years.
