The Nevada Short Line was the master plan of A. A. Codd of Rawhide fame. He, at this time, owned mines in Rochester and thought that a railroad from Oreana to Rochester could be a money maker. The railroad was never properly funded. It was expanded twice in the first two years, but still never was financially successful. In 1919 it shut down. Not only was this a short line railroad, it was a short-lived railroad. Coupons 5 through 10 still attached. Bond 5B to RG Giesler. (Reference pacificng.com.)
