Group of three documents: 1) Small handwritten 1862 check telling the Wells Fargo Bank in Carson City to pay $300 to Fleshacker (sic) & Co., hand signed by Nye. Folds, light soil, 0.75 inch fold separation. 2) Detailed one-year cash account with George Lewis for Nye. Apparently, Lewis owned the Magnolia Saloon in 1862 where he placed a "beacon" lantern over the front. A local newspaper opined that it will prove to be a valuable guide to many a wandering benighted legislator this winter. 3) Handwritten (in Nye's hand) 1864 copy of a bond wherein he secured two and a half feet in the Bacon mine. The document does not state the location of the Bacon, but it was located in Gold Canyon below Silver City. Folds, light soil, 2-inch fold separation.
