Much on early explorers and trappers; the first settlements in the 1850's early Comstock mining; overland routes, the establishment of Nevada territory, Nevada and the Civil War; the way to transportation and education. Vol II & III contain biographies of early Nevadans. "A set of Scrugham is a valuable part of any Nevada library; it is in several ways the most desirable of the major state histories published.
