“Looking Northwest of Nevadaville." Stereograph measures 7"x3 1/2", tan single matte, high contrast, and the focus is sharp. Photographer, A. E. Dickerson of Coshocton, Ohio, was active in the West, including Yellowstone, between the late 1880s and 1910. Mautz notes that he worked in Idaho Springs and Silver Plume. Nevadaville was the western-most city up Gregory Gulch. The other two are Black Hawk and Central City. Together these three cities made up a mining triumvirate starting in 1859 with the discovery of gold by John Gregory on the North Fork of Clear Creek.
