Framed collection related to J. P. Morgan, who after the crash of 1895 helped railroads which suffered greatly. Included: Photograph of J. P. Morgan; small copper plaque about Morgan; $1000 New Jersey Junction Railroad Company--New York Central & Hudson River Railroad Company Bond, 1886, unissued; $1000 bond certificate, no. 2777 (back side). Beautifully engraved certificate from the New Jersey Junction Railroad issued in 1889. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignettes of an old harbor scene and a paddle wheeler going up the river. This item is hand signed by the company's officers including J.P. Morgan and H. C. Fahnestock on the verso as Trustees; four coupons for a bond issued by the New Jersey Junction Railroad Company. The separate pieces are matted a together in a linen mat and beautifully framed. 33" x 33”.
