Not cancelled. Black border and print. Very nice vignette of miners using sluice boxes. Printed by JO Seymour & Co., NY. 25 cent US IR stamp attached on the bottom right. Folds, very fine. 6.5 x 11" Not listed in Filer or Holabird indexes. Browne (1868) reports the company sent 750 tons of rock to mills, with a value of bullion per ounce of $174.38 (pg. 527). He mentions they were milling ore for the Poorman. He calls the Oro Fino "one of the most productive mines in Idaho" (pg. 522). An article in the Daily Alta California (April 21st, 1866) notes that the New York & Oro Fino 10-stamp mill is located on the east side of War Eagle Mountain and will be completed early in spring.
