Very rare. We had no records of selling this dating back to 2014. Inc. in New York. No. 160, issued for 5 shares to M. Anthony in New York in 1866. Signed by president Catherwood and secretary RC Root. Not cancelled. Black border and print, surface mining vignette. 5 x 9.25" Folds, pin holes. Stamp adhesive stain. According to a Nov. 16, 1865 Lancaster Gazette article on Silver Peak, this company owned a mill capable of handling 40 tons a day. A Jan. 1866 article mentions that surface samples have returned assays of $600-1125 in silver and $42-161 in gold per ton.
