August 6, 1849 New York of the Pacific land receipt for lot 16, block 158, 50' front on F Street, 100' deep. New York of the Pacific was at the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers near Pittsburg and Antioch. Frame 17.5x24 with rear cutout for back of document visibility and John Geary signature. Also marked California Territory which never really existed as California was made a state in 1849, thus the Territorial designation is rare. Signed by Jonathan( J D) Stevenson, leader of the NY Army for the Bear Flag Revolt. He had the Army lay out the town of Rancho Los Medanos. 5" center hole and small to and bottom center chips.
