No. B186 for 100 shares to Walter Weber in 1887. Signed by CP Huntington as president. Punch cancelled, but not through signatures. Rare stock with coupons -all 20 of which are attached. Very minor discoloration and edge issues. Overall very nice. Collis Potter Huntington was an American industrialist and railway magnate. He was one of the Big Four of western railroading (along with Leland Stanford, Mark Hopkins, and Charles Crocker) who invested in Theodore Judah's idea to build the Central Pacific Railroad as part of the first U.S. transcontinental railroad. Huntington helped lead and develop other major interstate lines, such as the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway (C&O), which he was recruited to help complete. Huntington incorporated the Newport News & Mississippi Valley Company to build a railroad through Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, via Louisville and Memphis, in Mississippi and Louisiana, to meet his Southern Pacific "Sunset Route" at New Orleans, on the Mississippi River. The proposition began to take shape with the completion of the SP in 1881, but the eastern section was moving much slower.
