The rest of the front page is about General Harrison – the often overlooked and one-month president. There are six 1849 papers that address the west. Five are Boston Daily Journal, estimate of 20,000 at Platte City waiting for spring to set in to journey to California, a reproduction of a dairy of one of the Fremont men in the Del Norte River area, Bunker Hill Trading & Mining Association of Boston fully organized and ready to head for the gold fields, gold found at Salt Lake, etc. Others are the Philadelphia Album 1831, Newark Daily Advertisers 1838, the Atlas of Boston 1838, Harper's 1865 Monument to the Fallen, 1865 Andersonville trials, 1850 National Era, 1859 The Age of Augusta. Volume 1 of 1840.Magazines are the Journal of Health 1831, People Magazine 1833, Niles Weekly Register 1833, Life Illustrated 1858 New York Architecture (Tiffany's), Overall in very nice condition for newsprint material that is over 150 years old!
