The November 4, 1858 Sacramento Daily Union ran this article, "The Golden Channel Mining Company, which, next year, will flume two thousand feet of the river below the grounds of the Union Cape Company, have perfected a contract for the grading and construction of the flume with John Lytic. Stock in the Golden Channel is being rapidly taken." 2) Susquehauna Gold & Silver Mining Company. Stock certificate. c186-. Printed by Agnew & Deffebach, San Francisco. 3) 186- receipt for the California Stage Company. The California Stage Company, which became the largest, most successful staging concern in the world during the mid-19th century and made Sacramento the staging capital of the nation. By December 1860 the California Stage Company had 8 stage lines departing daily from Sacramento that spanned 1,100 miles leading north and east. 4) Volcano Copper Gold Silver Mining Company.
