Rare. Receipt on letterhead for Nicholia Stage Company, E.E. Corbin, Proprietor. (Date of Oct. 8, 1886 on reverse). Message is instructions to ship to AM Stephenson of Junction via Red Rock: port, sherry, cigars, etc. Signed E.C. Message below signature says ship cigars by express to Red Rock and the stage will get them and bring them to Junction. 8.5 x 5.25" Folds, spindle hole, and some toning. Nicholia was located in Lemhi County. The town was established in 1885 following the construction of a smelter located at the foot of the hills. In 1889, it had a population over 1,500 people.
