Lot of 6. Four different varieties. 1) Type 1. Issued 1930 (with allegorical man releasing airplane). 2) Type 2. Three certificates. Issued 1944 and 1950 plus one specimen. Blue border with vignette of man and airplane in the clouds. 3) Type 3 and 4. Same vignette of two women sitting on either side of a logo. Green or blue borders, issued 1966 and 1967. This company was a major American aerospace manufacturer, responsible for a number of historic aircraft, including the T-6 Texan trainer, the P-51 Mustang fighter, the B-25 Mitchell bomber, the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, the X-15 rocket plane, and the XB-70, as well as Apollo command and service module, the second stage of the Saturn V rocket, the Space Shuttle orbiter and the B-1 Lancer.
