Lot of 11. North San Juan dates back to the California Gold Rush. It prospered during the era of hydraulic mining at nearby Malakoff Diggins from 1850-1884. 1) Orient Gold Placer Mining Company. Four stocks, three issued 1889-1891 (one pen cancelled) and one unissued. Dateline North San Juan. Actual placer mining was in Sierra County. Also three assessment receipts, 1889-1890. 2) Middle Yuba Canal & Water Company. Three unissued stocks, all signed by Egbert Judson as president. Great hydraulic mining vignette. A sheet of two and a single piece. 3) American Mining Development Company note, 1907, about the filing of locations with the county recorder. Dateline North San Juan. 4) Powell & Cull, Horse & Buggies, pictorial billhead, 1875, to the Milton Mining Company.
