Lot of 11. North San Juan dates back to the California Gold Rush. It prospered during the era of hydraulic mining at nearby Malakoff Diggins from 1850–1884. 1) Orient Gold Placer Mining Company. Four stocks, three issued 1889-1891 (one pen cancelled) and one unissued. Dateline North San Juan. Actual placer mining was in Sierra County. Also three assessment receipts, 1889-1890. 2) Middle Yuba Canal & Water Company. Three unissued stocks, all signed by Egbert Judson as president. Great hydraulic mining vignette. A sheet of two and a single piece. 3) American Mining Development Company note, 1907, about the filing of locations with the county recorder.
