Lot of 2 early NP passes. 1) Pass no. A341, issued in 1875 to SM Spaulding of the US Surveys General Office. Signed by the general manager (illegible). Some staining around edges. 2) Pass No. D620, issued for 1887 to John Insley Blair, president of the St. Louis & Hannibal Railway, and a 19th century railroad magnate who was one of the wealthiest men in the US in the 1800s. Preprinted signature of vice president TF Oakes. Countersigned by NC Thrall. Not endorsed by Blair. The Northern Pacific Railway was a transcontinental railroad that was completed in 1883 with President Grant driving in the golden spike in western Montana. It operated from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast.
