Lot of three numismatics scrip, used during the '40s through the '70s. Includes a Military Payment Certificate (MPC) for 50 cents, series 681, with submarine on front and astronaut on reverse. MPC's were issued from 1946 until 1973. They were printed in fifteen series and used by the U.S. Military in 22 different countries. Also includes two Japanese Government scrip, for ten pesos and one centavo. The Japanese Government issued these during WWII, to replace Philippine money, coins and U.S. currency, after capturing the Philippines Islands in late 1940. See photo for more details.
