This lot contains just over three pounds of points and scrapers sold off by the Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nevada, decades ago. Most are obsidian, but some lighter-colored material includes jasper, chert, and basalt. Many show weather exposure on one side indicating they were collected after long exposure to the elements. One can interpret that some pieces were abandoned midway through the process, perhaps because the maker was unsatisfied with the results. There are items ranging from bird-point size up to hand-size scrapers. Included is a Santa Fe cigar box that once held them all (lid is detached but included).
