"Reaches the Beaches" Lot of two. Included: 1915 pass for FC Matthews (Florence & Cripple Creek Railroad) and 1920 pass for Herbert Gaytes (Power Administrator, Railroad Commission, State of CA). Incorporated in 1881, construction didn't begin until 1905. Meant to connect San Francisco and Santa Cruz, with construction started at both ends. Due to damage caused by the 1906 earthquake, among other issues, the line never made it all the way. From SF, it made it to Tunitas Creek. From Santa Cruz, it made it to Swanton.
