Rare. Inc. in Colorado. No. 30, issued for 1,000 shares to George A. Baker on June 13th, 1891 in Denver. Signed by president Alf. H. Rice and secretary Wm. S. Rice. Not cancelled. Ornate black border and print. Floral vignettes under title. Also a mining vignette, and a vignette of the reverse of a Morgan silver dollar (bottom left). C&C Litho., Denver. 8.25 x 11.5" Folds, toning. According to The Aspen Daily Times (June 24, 1891), the company operated at Mount Bross in Park County, Colorado. They "have commenced to develop their intense property March 1st of the present year, and have already disclosed large bodies of ore which warrant them putting up a large plant of machinery...The location of the company's property is all that could be desired from a mining standpoint as it is surrounded (on all sides) by some of the largest and richest producers in the state. The Great West, Paris, Excelsior, and Criterion veins run directly through" their property. Managed by JP O'Brien of Leadville.
