Issued to TJ Charlesworth, supt. of Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway. Signed by J.R. Kendrick, superintendent. Ornate logo and border. Some soiling and toning. Formed in July 1863 when the Old Colony and Fall River Railroad merged with the Newport and Fall River Railroad, which had been incorporated in 1846 to build a road from Newport, Rhode Island to the Massachusetts state line at Fall River.
