# 35 for 50 shares to George H Howard. Signed by Henry O Howard and George H Howard (a real family affair). Shares worth $500 making the certificate worth $25,000. A nice hefty sum for the president. Dateline 1865 San Francisco. Incorporated September 1863. Not cancelled. Steam train vignette. Robbins & Co. printer. No edge, corner or pinhole issues. Very light coloring on right side, possible residue from a revenue stamp. Incorporated in September of 1863 and on September 23rd of said year a 50 cent assessment was levied. There was also an Old Colony Gold and Silver MIning Company in 1863 from Reese River. Same secretary! Same Company? In March of 1865 assessments were still being rlevied. But we found no production information. According to McDonald and Holabird's early work, known dates for this certificate were 1863 to 1864. Prag Collection
