Lot of 64 includes 60 old comics pinbacks, which were prizes in Kelloggs Pep cereal in the 1040s. Pinbacks are 3/4 inch diameter, with such characters as: Dick Tracy, Blondie, Flash Gordon, Superman, Popeye and many other characters associated with these comic strips. Pinback buttons in fine condition.
In 1945, Kellogg inserted a prize in the form of pinback buttons into each box of Pep cereal. There were five series of comics characters, with 18 different buttons in each set. This would make 90 buttons in the complete set, but the Superman button appeared in all five sets, because of the close association between Kellogg's Pep and the Adventures of Superman radio show. Mint condition Pep pins have become sought-after collectables.
Lot also includes two Radio Orphan Annie Secret Society medals, Woody Woodpecker Universal Studios game token, and a Friskies medal. See photo for more details. CHECK OUT OUR TOKEN SECTION FOR SIMILAR ITEMS!
