Priscilla Peynetsa is an award-winning potter born into Zuni Pueblo in 1961. Rosette and floral designs with deer heartline, 5.5" h x 6.5" diameter. She has been making pottery since about 1980, learning from her siblings and from Jennie Laate. In early 1995 her career was altered by an accident. Priscilla lost an arm in an automobile crash, but that didn't stop her from making pottery. Her return has been very hard and slow. She is producing some beautiful pottery, however very few. It seems almost impossible to make a pot with one arm but she's doing it. She is the sister of Anderson Peynetsa and Agnes Peynetsa, aunt of Anderson Jamie Peynetsa. Priscilla is known for her black on redware, polychrome jars, bowls, effigy pots, clay pipes, frogs and pottery necklaces. Date: c.1990 Location: Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico HWAC # 52738
