Great mining and stage pass. Operating between Bagdad, California (now a ghost town in the Mojave Desert) and Orange Blossom Mines. No. A455, issued for 1908 to A.G. Wild & party (trainmaster 2nd district, A.T. & S.F. Railway). Signed by John Denair as president, who also ran the mining operation. Printed on tan cardstock. Stage left Bagdad at 5am and arrived at Orange Blossom at 7:30. Return journey left Orange Blossom at 2pm and arrived at Bagdad at 3:30pm. In 1908, Denair built an 8 stamp mill and a camp w/ assay office, boardinghouse, stable, barn and corral. In early 1909, they laid out the town of Hodgman below the mine and mill. However, mining ended in 1909 and the company went bankrupt. (Prag Collection) City: Bagdad State: California, Date: Inventory# 39121
